Julie takes us on a journey of teaching those with special needs. Julie’s son, Matt, is a special needs 15 year old who needs a lot of help, not only at church, but in life. And it is not something she or her husband, Todd, can do on their own. She provides an honest look at the fears, struggles, and triumphs that come with parenting a child who lives in the world differently. During this episode she also walks us through not only what helping Matt looks like at church and his impact on the ward, but also describes the angels who love and nurture Matt. Then we dive into some perspectives on how we might teach those who need a little more love and patience with empathy, understanding, and tailored care.
